John George Schutrumpf         &             Philip Schutrumpf

Postcard from Holzheim, German

Here is a photo of my great-grandfather, (Click on photo to enlarge) John George Schutrumpf (born- Johannes Georg Schütrumpf) (1865-1923, emigrated to America in 1885) and his brother Philip. Philip stayed in Germany and had 3 children.
A list of their ancestors (the ones that I am currently aware of) and siblings is below. (Or see Family Tree) Most of them were born in Kathus or Konrode, Germany.
The oldest of the known Schütrumpfs (in my family) was Eva Elisabeth Schütrumpf. She had twin sons -Johannes and Johann Georg Schütrumpf, born in Kathus, 22 July 1798.
Johannes married Katharina Elisabeth Thiel on 18 March 1821. She was born in the village of Konrode. They had 3 childern, including Johannes, who was the father of John George & Philip S.
I originally thought that the Schütrumpfs were from Holzheim, because of the old postcard from Holzheim (Click on photo to enlarge)
However, the postcard is from another Holzheim, now a part ofPohlheim, which is near Giessen. I now think that the postcard was written by my grandmother, Susanna Grieb Schütrumpf.

Heir ist ein Foto meinen Urgroßvater, (klicken Sie an Foto, um zu vergrößern), Johannes Georg Schütrumpf (1865-1923, wanderte nach Amerika 1885 aus) und er bruder Philip. Philip blieb in Deutschland und hatte 3 Kinder.
Eine Liste ihrer Vorfahren (die, daß ich aktuell bewußt bin) und der Geschwister ist hier. (Oder sieht Stammbaum) Die meisten von ihnen wurden in Kathus oder Konrode, Deutschland geboren.
Der älteste vom bekannten Schütrumpfs (in meiner Familie) war Eva Elisabeth Schütrumpf. Sie hatte Zwilling-Söhne, Johannes und Johann Georg Schütrumpf, die in Kathus, 22 Juli 1798, geboren werden.
Johannes heiratete Katharina Elisabeth Thiel auf 18 März 1821. Sie wurde im Dorf von Konrode geboren.
Sie hatten 3 childern, einschließlich Johannes, der war der Vater von John George & Philip S.
Ich glaubte ursprünglich, daß der Schütrumpfs von wäre Holzheim, wegen der alten Postkarte von Holzheim,
Aber die Postkarte ist von noch einem Holzheim jetzt ein Teil von Pohlheim,which ist naher Giessen. Ich denke jetzt daß die Postkarte von meiner Großmutter geschrieben wurde, Susanna Grieb Schütrumpf.
